The Open University

The Open University’s active involvement in the fields of innovation and enterprise is reflected in our research, teaching and outreach activities.  The university has its main headquarters in Milton Keynes, and national offices in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The triple-accredited Open University Business School offers undergraduate and postgraduate modules in entrepreneurship, innovation and related subjects.  Over 100,000 people from more than 120 countries have already graduated with The Open University Business School, making it the largest management school in Europe. The school is home to an active group of academics engaged in entrepreneurship research and enterprise education, and to a thriving community of doctoral students, most of whom are located on campus.  The school’s tutors are experienced business professionals, and its practice-based, distance learning approach allows students to combine work and study, applying new knowledge and skills from the start.

Many of the university’s open educational resources are freely available on the OpenLearn website and the hub for entrepreneurial content, Open Business Creators. Open Business Creators aims to create the UK’s largest and most inclusive entrepreneurial learning community for those aspiring to start or grow their business.
